Robert Wilhelm Bunsen (1811-1899). German chemist. Worked on spectroscopy; his was name given to the Bunsen burner, even though he didn't directly participate in its development. He participated in the identification of several elements: cesium, rubidium, thallium, indium, gallium, scandium, germanium and finally, helium.
