Elisabeth of Austria (1554-1592), daughter of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II and Maria of Spain. She was married to Charles IX of France in 1570, with whom she had a daughter, Marie Elisabeth, who died at the age of 5. As her husband preferred Marie Touchet de Belleville, she eventually returned to her home country, where she died in the convent that she founded.
