Leonhard Euler (1707-1783). Swiss mathematician and physician. Considered the most prolific mathematician in all of history. The majority of his work was completed during the last 17 years of his life, even though he was blind. He made advancements to methods of differential and integral calculus and demonstrated several theorems stated by Pierre de Fermat. He died in Russia.
