Hayton of Corycus was an Armenian ruler. Exiled in France, he became a monk and dictated in 1306 to Niccolo Falconi a history of Asia, the first in its genre, entitled La Flor des Estoires d'Orient (Flos Historianum Terrae Orientis; History of the Tartars). He is also known as Hayton the Historian.
He is shown presenting his book to the King of France Philippe Le Bel.
