In 1621, France allied itself with the Cantons of Switzerland against the Austrians and the Spanish.
Print engraved by Henri Glaser in 1626.
At the centre of the illustration, the winged woman, symbolising France, holds in her hand a flag bearing the arms of France and Navarre and in the other an olive branch, a symbol of peace. She is surrounded by thirteen cantons also carrying banners along with their weapons.
