David Garrick (1717-79) with his wife Eva-Maria Veigel (1725-1822), austrian dancer.
Famous English actor, playwright and theatre director, David Garrick is considered one of the most important figures in 18th century British theatre. He played the roles of Shakespeare and Richard III and was director of the Drury Lane Theatre in London for 30 years.
