The sugar centerpieces feature fountains and temples dedicated to theater and music. Figure one illustrates Gilliers' recommendations for drawing the plan of a table, using a compass; it documents the positions of chairs (letter R), plates (10), and dormants or centerpieces (11) that remain on the table throughout the meal
