Bleyenstein Utrecht Van Lanschot Den Bosch During this time there was big shortage of small change In order to cope with this shortage of small change, several people bought copper coins in Germany and brought them to the Netherlands with tons. Also the Utrecht grocery Bleyenstein came up with the idea to get the copper coins from Germany and wing them into circulation. At the same time, the banker Franciscus van Lanschot from Den Bosch also brought these same coins from Germany here. The coin has come to different names in this way, namely: Bleyenstein penny (to the grocery store) Bossche penny (to the town of Bosch) and Lanschotje (to the banker from Den Bosch
