The dial is signed 'Mignolet à Paris', as in Joseph Mignolet, who became master clockworker in Paris on August 3rd, 1786.
The casing: octagonal in marble, painted with little flowers, on top of which there is a pattern in gilded bronze made of a lyre, two flutes and oak branches, it contains the round enamel dial with a gilded bronze edge.
The casing is held by the wings of two griffins in gilded bronze, put side by side with an oval flat base with painted lambrequins and little flowers.
The whole is held by an hexagonal flat base, decorated with painted arabesques and supported by six feet in gilded bronze.
