Title
California in Montparnasse
Caption
La Californie in Montparnasse, Paris.
Built in wood, it was supposed to roughly resemble pionneers cabins in the West. La Californie was a huge and cheap restaurant serving hundreds of people everyday. The area was not yet developed and out of Paris walls.
From an engraving by L. Flameng.
