Every morning the GGS is installed ceremoniously on a platform beneath a canopy at the head of the temple. It is placed on cushions and covered with a cloth or romallas. When this is removed, a member of the congregation remains in attendance waving a whisk or chouri. Photographer:Christine Osborne
