Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940)
Rare square tea table: The top, composed of four square elements, is adorned with stylized flowers and insects, including a spider, butterfly, dragonfly, and wasp. The table features sculpted columns plated with repoussé copper, forming four blocks and legs. The four sides open with four circular panels plated with repoussé copper bands revealing four blocks fitted with five drawers and quarter corner niches decorated with painted stylized motifs. The drum-shaped frame is adorned with marquetry.
Made of brown-stained wood and parchment, stained wood, tin marquetry, and tin.(70x69x69cm).
