Berlin Memorial Church, circa 1958
Commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm II in honour of his grandfather Wilhelm I at the end of the 19th century, the church was partly destroyed when Berlin was bombed by the Allies in 1943, and its ruins have been preserved in memory of all the destruction caused by World War II.
