THE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE WEEK:
Michael Holtz

Françoise Hardy
Françoise Hardy in her apartment located Île Saint-Louis in Paris, c.1970.

Michael Holtz was a French press photographer in the 1960s and 1970s.
He photographed all the celebrities of that time for the most prestigious French and international magazines: Paris Match, Jours de France, France Soir, Stern, Life, Look Magazine, etc.

At the beginning of the 1980s he settled in Liechtenstein then in Ibiza where he died in 2002.

His photographs were secretly stored in boxes until today. Photo12 rediscovered this wonderful archive; each photo is carefully selected then digitized and captioned from Michael Holtz's notebooks he used to bring everywhere.

More than 400 photographs are available on our website and many more will be available in the coming weeks.
