Burundi, Kebezi military base, March 2006, Troops patrol the miltary base at dusk. The South African Defence Force make up the largest contigent of the peacekeeping forces of ONUB (United Nations Operations Burundi). 50% of the South African deployment are women. Aproximately thirty families have built their houses around the base for protection against the last remaining rebel group FNL (Forces national le liberation).
