Burundi, Bujumbura, a member of a women&aposs organization in one of the poorest areas on the outskirts by of Bujumbura. The storage room has holes in the roof from bombing, holding testimony to some of the horrors of the past. The organization was started by Banyankirubusa Dorothee, an illetarate women form a rural village thirteen years ago. Together they grow crops to feed their families, look after orphans and rape victims and run their small restuarant. Women are not allowed to inheret and sexual abuse is rife in the post war society, yet these women fight to better their lives together, March 2006.
