Bourke\\'s Luck Potholes
Légende
Thousands of tourists a year visit BourkeÕs Luck Potholes on the edge of the Blyde River Canyon. The Potholes carved out of hard quartzite rock formed over time at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur rivers where sand and stones driven by whirlpools ground the rock away. The potholes are named after Thomas Bourke who recognised their gold panning potential during the gold rush days in the 1870s
