Nicholas Ridley

Nicholas Ridley (c1500-1555) Bishop of London 1550. English Protestant reformer and martyr writing while in prison. Under Mary I he was found guilty of heresy. He was take from London to Oxford and on 16 Ocobter 1555 burned alive with Latimer and Cranmer in front of Balliol College. Chromolithograph from mid19th century edition of Foxe's "Book of Martyrs".
