London Home for Boys, Stepney Causeway. Home for 300 waifs and strays from the London streets, the boys were taught trades from tailoring and boot making to carpentry. Boys in the boot making workshop where boots worn in the home were made, as well as those to fulfil outside orders which brought in funds for the home. Wood engraving 1883.
