Death sits on his throne in a cave. His agents including war, fire, famine, pestilence, pleasure, intemperance, remorse, delirium tremens, suicide and disease. Old age, an elderly man, is supported by a woman, Faith. Charles Willson Peale, the artist's father, served as a model for Old Age.
