Designed and painted at the State Porcelain Factory, Petrograd (St. Petersburg), by Vasilii Timorev (1870-1942), whose signature appears on the front. The slogan reads: ‘From military heroic deeds to labour heroic deeds and from labour heroic deeds to military heroic deeds’ with an eagle and the words ‘The Poland of the rich landlords’ referring to the war against Poland at the end of the Russian civil war.
