The Plates from the Second Book of the De Humani Corporis Fabrica by Andreas Vesalius, (1514-1564) Plate 34 The eleventh plate of the Muscles. Vesalius provides no introductory remarks to this plate. The dissection has been carried a stage further by the reflection, in the case of the torso, of the latissimus dorsi which is seen hanging from its insertion on the left side of the figure.
