Lucien Pissarro The Turkeys.
Légende
Lucien Pissarro (1863-1944) The Turkeys (or Esther in the Garden, Eragny) oil on canvas. Lucien Pissarro depicted his young wife, Esther, sitting in the shade of a tree in the garden of the family home. The turkeys, which give the painting its title, can be seen in the left foreground. The recreation of the dappled light shows the artist's interest in (Neo-) Impressionist techniques and their views of the roles of light and the human eye.
