Inflorescence, the flower cluster, of Daphne bholua, the Nepalese paper plant. It is one of the main shrubs, which bark is used to produce lokta paper, the traditional handmade paper of Nepal. Flowers of daphne, which are said to be poisonous, have intense scent. Photographed in March, the Himalayan spring, in a forest near the Jiri Lukla trekking route of the Everest Trek.
