Pink purple flower of Carpobrotus edulis, a ground-creeping plant with succulent leaves native to South Africa. Also known as Hottentot-fig, ice plant, highway ice plant or pigface and in South Africa as the sour fig. Now naturalised along the Atlantic coast of Portugal where it is considered an invasive species and planting it is prohibited.
