From Wikipedia: Karesuando (Finnish: Karesuvanto, Sami: Garasavvon) is a town in the northern Swedish province of Norrbottens län and the historical province of Lapland. It is located around 300 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in the municipality of Kiruna. The small town is located directly on the Muonio älv, which also forms a natural border with Finland. A bridge connects the Swedish part of Karesuando with the Finnish part of Karesuvanto (140 inhabitants, 450 in total) on the opposite side of the river. Karesuando is a church village of Sweden, located at the Muonio River on the border with Finland
