Mrs Piozzi. Hester Lynch Thrale (born Hester Lynch Salusbury 1741-1821) British diarist and author. Friend of many literary figures of her time, especially Dr Johnson. After the death of her man Henry Thrale, she married Gabriel Piozzi, an Italian dancing teacher, in 1784.
