Mary Delany (born Granville 1700-1788) Englishwoman with artistic and literary taste. In 1743 she married Patrick Delany, an Irish clergyman and friend of Dean Jonathan Swift. She created exquisite paper mosaics (collages), many of which are now in the British Museum.
