William Gregory (1803-1858), Scottish chemist. Professor of Medicine and Chemistry at King's College in Aberdeen and from 1843 Professor of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. Studied under Justus von Liebig in Giessen and was editor of English editions of Liebig's works. From James Sheridan Muspratt Chemistry (London, ca. 1860) .
