The historic stadium in Dresden's Ostragehege is being completely rebuilt. In October 2021, the starting signal was given for the demolition of the venerable Heinz Steyer Oval in Dresden's Friedrichstadt. Over the next two years, a multifunctional sports facility will be built here as the gateway to the Ostra Sports Park
