Due to an as yet unknown cause, a section of the Carola Bridge collapsed in the early hours of the morning. Over a length of around 100 metres, the section on which the trams normally run has collapsed into the Elbe. Partial demolition has begun and around 10 excavators are tearing down the collapsed bridge section to make room for the imminent flooding of the Elbe., Partial collapse of the Carola Bridge in Dresden, Dresden, Saxony, Germany, Europe
