North Platte, Nebraska - An eastbound train hauling coal from western strip mines passes through the Union Pacific Railroad's Bailey Yard, the largest rail yard in the world. The yard handles 14, 000 rail cars every day. The yard's operations are visible from the the UP's eight-story Golden Spike Tower and visitor center.
