Infineon Technologies AG is a German semiconductor manufacturer. The company is headquartered in Neubiberg (district of Munich) and is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It was formed in 1999 through the spin-off of Siemens' semiconductor business. With around 56, 200 employees, Infineon achieved a turnover of 14.218 billion euros in the 2022 financial year, which ended on 30 September 2022. The Cypress business, which was acquired by Infineon, has been included since April 2020. In 2023, the ground-breaking ceremony for a €5 billion expansion of the Dresden site took place.
