Propaganda text of National Socialist report on the back of the picture:
"Breath turns into ice immediately in the bitterly cold. Flak post at the combat front up North. The soldier's woolen head protection turns into a mask of rime". Motive from the Eastern front on the 20th of January in 1942. The attack of the German Wehrmacht on the Soviet Union on the 22nd of June in 1941 was going under the alias "Operation Barbarossa".
