Propaganda text of National Socialist report on the back of the picture:
"The swastika flag blows above Kiev. Bolshevists tried to set the city alight. The population still stands shocked in front of smouldering ruins". Motive from the city of Kiev, Ukraine, from the 21st of September in 1941. After the attack of the German Wehrmacht on the Soviet Union on the 22nd of June in 1941, Kiev was conquered in September 1941 under the alias "Operation Barbarossa".
