More than 300,000 people of Leningrad cleaned the city every day from end of March to the middle of April, photographed on the 8th of March in 1942.
The attack of the German Wehrmacht on the Soviet Union on the 22nd of June in 1941 was going under the alias "Operation Barbarossa". Leningrad was blocked from September 1941 to January 1944.
