"What foreign journalists saw. They were invited to see for themselves that the Soviet city Smolensk is in German hand and was burnt down by the Soviets". Motive from the Eastern front on the 13th of August in 1941. The attack of the German Wehrmacht on the Soviet Union on the 22nd of June in 1941 was going under the alias "Operation Barbarossa".
