At the end of the strike of the East German State Railway (Reichsbahn) at the end of June 1949, the Reichsbahn sells tickets only for Westmark in the West sector of Berlin, from 01 July 1949 the trains drive again. The whole railway operations and infrastructure of Berlin were subordinated to the East German State Railway (Deutsche Reichsbahn, DR) of the Soviet zone of occupation until 1949.
