Transit camp Friedland
Légende
View on a row of Nissen huts who serve as emergency shelters in the Friedland camp (undated). On 26 September 1945, the British Army has opened a reception camp in the small town Friedland. The town was chosen because it lies between the British, the American, and the Russian zone. Refugees, homecomers from the war, and immigrants were received in Friedland and provided with their basic needs.
