Former leader of the sales organization of IG Farben, Georg von Schnitzler, pleads not guilty. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment. The suit against 23 directors of IG-Farben group started on 14 August 1947, before the American military court VI in Nuremberg, headed by Judge Curtis Shake.
