Legal proceeding against hostage-taker of Stockholm in Düsseldorf
Légende
Anarchists Karl-Heinz Dellwo and Lutz Manfred Taufer (l) received twice lifelong imprisonment for the attack on the German embassy in Stockholm in Düsseldorf. Both are photographed shortly before the pronouncement of the judgement.
German terrorists raided the German embassy, shot military attaché Andreas von Mirbach and took twelve members of the embassy as hostages to force the liberation of 26 members of the Baader-Meinhof group. Since the demand was not fulfilled, they furthermore shot economic expert Heinz Hillegaard and explosive charges detonated. All terrorists were arrested, amongst them Karl Heinz Dellwo and Hanna Krabbe, who received twice lifelong imprisonment in Düsseldorf in 1977.
