Removing Large Pieces and Slabs of the Berlin Wall

The Berlin Wall - prepared for transport. These concrete slabs, the Berlin Wall, that had been separating this city since August 13th 1961, are ready for transportation. The tearing down and removal of the concrete wall separating East and West Berlin started after the opening of the borders and the Brandenburg Gate. Works are almost finished on the 29th anniverary of the construction of the Wall. Picture taken on August 11th 1990.
