Weimar, Thuringia: The nose of the golden concrete Lenin is a little brittle, as sculptor Christian Paschold from Erfurt discovered during a professional inspection of the heavy monument of the former Soviet barracks Nohra near Weimar. Withdrawing soldiers planted a real Russian steel helmet on the statue's head as a last salutation.
