Soldiers of the US army are dropped from a helicopter on a landing field in Aschaffenburg on the 3rd of May in 1961.
The American army transported almost 1,000 soldiers, who were stationed in Würzburg, to a manoeuvre near Aschaffenburg with a helicopter airlift.
It was the hitherto largest air transport manoeuvre of the US army in Europe.
