Simulation of a nuclear strike on the US military training area Grafenwöhr

The US army carried out the simulation of a nuclear strike on the military training area Grafenwöhr in Bavaria in the context of the manoeuvre "Free Play" on 5 February 1959. Two shots of "Honest John" missiles and 28cm shells simulated the massive shot and strong production of smoke of a nuclear strike. Around 40 NATO generals were watching the simulation.
