A tank of the US army during the big winter manoeuvre "Free Play" of the US army on the military training area Grafenwöhr on 5 February 1959. The highlight of the manoeuvre, in which around 60.000 soldiers participated, was the simulation of a nuclear attack observed from the "Feldherrenhügel" by about 40 NATO generals.
