Big winter manoeuvre of the US army in Grafenwöhr

The US tank unit on standby during the big winter manoeuvre of the US army on the military training area Grafenwöhr on 5 February 1959. The highlight of the manoeuvre, in which around 60.000 soldiers participate, was the simulation of a nuclear attack, which was observed from the "Feldherrenhügel" by around 40 NATO generals.
