Two helicopters of the US army in action during the large winter manoeuvre "Free Play" of the US army on the military training area Grafenwöhr on the 5th of February in 1959.
Climax of the manoeuvre, in which about 60,000 soldiers participated, was the simulation of a nuclear attack, which was observed by 40 NATO generals from the "Feldherrenhügel".
