Sleeping soldiers on their way to Germany to participate in the manoeuvre REFORGER I

Sleeping soldiers of the US army on a flight to Nuremberg on 21 January 1969 with a plane of the type Starlifter C-141. They participate in the manoeuvre "REFORGER I" - "Return of Forces to Germany". Altogether around 17.000 soldiers participated in the manoeuvre, many of them were brought from the USA to Germany via air bridge. The equipment of the soldiers has already been in depots in Germany for the most part.
