US soldiers on their way to Germany to the manoeuvre REFORGER I

On the way to Germany, soldiers of the US army enter a plane of the type Starlifter C-141 on the Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, USA, on 21 January 1969. They participate in the manoeuvre "REFORGER I" - "Return of Forces to Germany". Altogether, around 17.000 soldiers participated in the manoeuvre, many of them were brought from the USA to Germany via air bridge.
